LGP-30 with Friden Flexowriter and high-speed optical punched tape reader
The LGP-30 is a first-generation magnetic drum computer equipped with vacuum tubes. Given its size and area of application, it can be described as a very early mini or personal computer. The computer is in very good original condition and fully functional.
The actual computer consists of the device on the right. It contains the CPU, the magnetic drum memory, the power supply with control unit, and the cooling system. The typewriter is a Friden Flexowriter and serves as an input/output device for the computer system. It is used for input via keyboard or punched tape and output on paper and/or punched tape. The slightly smaller box contains an additional high-speed optical punched tape reader and a high-speed punch.
