A truly international spirit - Faculties 4, 5 and 7 celebrating "International Days"

December 5, 2025 / ISP-Faculty 5

In November, several faculties celebrated their internationality with events related to international mobility and intercultural cooperation.

Promoting international mobility and strengthening the visibility of our international character!

For the first time since their introduction, the International Days of Faculty 5 were organized in collaboration with Faculty 4 & Faculty 7 (collectively known as Stuttgart Mechanical Engineering - Stuttgarter Maschinenbau). Over four days, everything revolved around international mobility and international cooperation – from an information event on studying abroad and exchange opportunities to an International Study Fair and an Intercultural Night.

The information event “Studying Abroad” offered valuable insights into financing options such as Erasmus+ and the wide range of support services offered by the university and its faculties, as well as the opportunity for personal consultation. At the “International Study Fair”, interested students were able to obtain information from exchange students and representatives of our partner universities, gain impressions of student life in different countries, and get to know potential partner universities directly.

The crowning highlight this year was the” Intercultural Night”, during which students from Faculty 5 presented their cultures in a very lively manner. The Intercultural Night, organized by students for students, shows how international Faculty 5 is and how involved international students are at our university.

The International Days were made possible thanks to the tremendous support of various persons: first and foremost, our (exchange) students from Faculties 4, 5, and 7, colleagues from the invited partner universities, the “Everybody Speaks Music band”, our student councils, as well as colleagues from the International Office and the internationalization teams of the three participating faculties.

Special thanks go to the Vice Rector for Early Career Researchers and Diversity for the financial support of our Intercultural Night.

Partner universities of the faculties visited the campus, presented themselves at information booths and got in touch with students at the Study Fair.
At the Study Fair, exchange students presented their countries and home universities, too.
Students from Faculty 5 set up a diverse program, representing various countries and cultures, e.g. showing dance performances from all over the world.
