The visit included meetings with the leadership of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) and its International Office. Discussions focused on the prospective admission of VGU bachelor’s students in the degree program with a specialization in Microelectronics/Semiconductor Technology at University of Stuttgart.
A key highlight of the visit was the event “Semiconductor Awareness Day 2026” hosted by the VGU Faculty of Engineering on March 24. The one-day conference brought together German academic and research partners alongside major international semiconductor companies operating in Vietnam. Topics included technological trends, career opportunities, and education and research perspectives across the semiconductor value chain. A presentation from Prof. Alwin Daus also illustrated the connection between emerging materials, innovative device concepts, and future applications in microelectronics. The delegation also met with double master’s students to discuss both academic and practical aspects of their upcoming stay in Stuttgart.
The visit underscores the strong partnership between the institutions and supports ongoing internationalization efforts in electrical engineering and information technology.
