Focus on internationalization – the International Days of Faculty 5

About one third of the students at Faculty 5 are from abroad, not to forget the many researchers and staff members. Hence, our faculty is one of the biggest faculties when it comes to numbers of international students. This is the reason why we decided to launch the so-called International Days and thus further promote internationalization at our faculty.

The first International Day of Faculty 5, which was held last November was a big success and we received many positive reactions. Due to this positive feedback, we decided to extend the length of the program and spread our offerings over several days.

Therefore, Faculty 5 will again present its international profile, this time during International Days, which will take place this semester from June 20 to 23, 2023. We will offer a versatile program with internationalization-related topics, not only for students, but also for the faculty’s employees.

With the International Days, we want to...

• Bring together students and researchers from different countries and cultures and everyone else interested in internationalization;
• Inform about opportunities to go abroad;
• Support international students in settling in and facilitating access to German culture, student and working life, e.g. through career planning workshops;
• Put a spotlight on new partner universities and international projects, as well as on further developments in the faculty's worldwide collaboration.
