Last Thursday, the Intercultural Night 2026 celebrated its premiere at the University of Stuttgart’s Campus Beach —and delighted numerous visitors with a diverse cultural program and a unique summer atmosphere. Students from Faculty 5 organized the musical performances on their own. They demonstrated just how international our university is and what we can all achieve together.
After enjoying great popularity within Faculty 5 in recent years, the event was opened to the entire university community for the first time this year. Numerous students and staff members from a wide variety of university departments and of different nationalities (over 28!) took the opportunity to spend a relaxed evening together and celebrate the cultural diversity on our campus.
Following the opening musical performance by “8586 Nepal,” the “Everybody Speaks Music (ESM) Band” created a fantastic atmosphere with their live performance. The band is an initiative of students from the Intercultural Mentoring Program and consists of musicians from various countries. Another special highlight of the evening was the impressive dance performance by Indian students, which thrilled the audience. The program was rounded out by the Peruvian solo artist “Crisa.”
The ETIT student council’s barbecue was also a big hit with the guests and, along with the relaxed atmosphere at Campus Beach, contributed to a successful evening. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the stuvus Campus Beach team, who not only provided summer drinks but also ensured that everything ran smoothly.
Special thanks go to all the students, volunteers, artists, and other contributors who helped organize and carry out Intercultural Night with great dedication. Without their efforts, such an evening would not have been possible.

The enthusiastic response and consistently positive feedback demonstrate how important encounters that transcend cultural and academic boundaries are for our university community. We’re already looking forward to the next Intercultural Night next year!
