The QS World University Ranking places the University of Stuttgart among top 25 percent of universities worldwide

Success for the University of Stuttgart in the QS World University Ranking 2023, which was published on June 8, 2022: For the first time, the University of Stuttgart has been ranked among the top 25 percent of universities worldwide listed in the QS ranking (in 2022 it was among the top 30%). The university's impressive results can be attributed, among other things, to excellent evaluations in the areas of "citations per researcher" and "international students".

In real numbers, the University of Stuttgart was ranked 355th from the 1,422 universities listed. This shows a slight decline when compared with 2022 (rank 347). However, because the number of institutions listed has increased by 124 universities over the same period, this actually shows an improvement in the university's ranking.

The University of Stuttgart's top-rated indicator is "citations per researcher". Compared to universities worldwide, the University of Stuttgart ranks 170th in this category. In the "International Students" category, the university moved from place 310 to 305, and in the new category "International Research Networks" it ranked 308th compared to other universities worldwide.

In Germany, a total of 46 universities were listed in the ranking. This is the same number as was listed in the QS Ranking 2022. In a national comparison, the University of Stuttgart remains in 20th place.
