The first three semesters (6th Bachelor's semester, 1st and 2nd Master's semester) are completed at ENSICAEN (90 ECTS). Students then continue their studies in the remaining two semesters (3rd and 4th semesters) at the University of Stuttgart, including the Master's thesis.
The degree course at ENSICAEN, "Génie physique et Systèmes embarqués" (Physical Engineering and Embedded Systems), focuses on the areas of sensor technology, digital technology and energy technology. From the 1st Master's semester onwards, students can choose between 2 specializations: "Embedded Systems and Automation" ("Embedded Systems and Automation") or "Physical Engineering and Sensors" ("Physical Engineering and Sensors").
At the end of the course, the courses completed at ENSICAEN are fully recognized by the University of Stuttgart and replaced as equivalent to the examinations taken in Germany.
Upon successful completion, students receive a Master's degree from the University of Stuttgart and the title of engineer from ENSICAEN.
